YC’s 2026 Holiday Show Preview
Traditionally, the YC Holiday Show is all about winter holidays like Christmas and Hannukah, but this year, the holiday we’re celebrating is YC’s 50thAnniversary!
Participants and volunteers from our Holiday Theatre Troupe have been working for weeks to write, block, rehearse and perform “Cheers for 50 Years: A (Nearly) Accurate History of YC.” The show is a unique retrospective narrated by “Mary Sue” and “Chris” that share some (very made up) stories about specific programs that happened each decade throughout YC’s history. Participants of all ages—from mini campers to alumni—are involved in the show, making it a true Team YC effort.
The show will be performed on Saturday, December 5th at Lakewood Civic Auditorium. This is the LARGEST Holiday Show venue we’ve had to date and we expect to fill most of the seats with the YC Family. Doors open at 1:30 and the show starts at 2 pm. The afternoon will also include our annual Volunteer Recognition and a special anniversary video. There will be a brief intermission and a reception afterward where YC friends and family can gather one final time this year to celebrate YC’s milestone year!
The show is FREE and open to all but registration is required.
