Cycling, Fishing & Yoga: Stepping into Fall at YC

Participants and volunteers enjoyed the peace and tranquility of nature during Cycling and Yoga, and Fishing and Yoga at South Central Park in North Ridgeville.

The participants who were cycling—Alina, Craig, Molly M., and Molly D.—were natural on the bike. It was clear many of them had cycled before. Not only did they cycle, Molly M. and Molly D. passed out paper flowers to passers-by to brighten people’s day as part of our 50 Acts of Kindness campaign!

The participants who were fishing—James M. Omar, Madde and Eva—practiced casting on dry land and then took their skills to the water! Many caught fish!

At the end of the program, the cyclists and the fishers came together for yoga with Londyn, YC Program Assistant and certified yoga teacher. They learned about what yoga is, where it originates from, and how it can help center themselves through a moment of “Zen.”

Cycling, fishing and other wilderness activities are central to YC culture, and yoga made it an even more unique experience! Everyone was glad to spend time in the great outdoors before the weather gets too cold and look forward to continued adventures in the future!
