Participant Highlight: Immanuel
Immanuel thrives on competition. He is very high energy and loves to stay moving, so he is a big fan of many of YC’s sports programs. He enjoys it when staff members come up with new drills or activities to try. Immanuel is very independent but loves it when he gets a teen volunteer who can keep up with him and wants to warm up or just pass a ball around.
This past spring, Immanuel attended 50 Acts of Kindness, Rock Climbing, Basketball, Sled Hockey, Race Training and Archery. He helped with the 50 Acts of Kindness in January where he and other participants and volunteers set up supplies for Mini Camp’s Animal Kindness Day, painted paper flowers, and brainstormed other acts of kindness for the rest of the year. Immanuel displayed his athleticism during rock climbing, basketball, archery, and sled hockey and has shown great perseverance in Race Training. He has helped make signs for Where Will Color Take You? 5K and 1-Mile Walk & Roll.
Immanuel is a very talented and well-rounded young man, and a great representation of what our participants are capable of. We look forward to continuing to watch him shine during the summer season!
