Participant Highlight: Eli

Eli brings a fun, upbeat energy to everything he’s part of. Whether he’s jumping into an activity or joining a group conversation, he’s always present, engaged, and ready to give it his best. He notices the little things and brings a thoughtful spark to whatever’s going on. He won the YC Motivator Award in 2024!

In Story Explorers, Eli let his imagination lead the way. Each week, he explored different kinds of writing—from poetry and memoirs to science fiction. He approached each new style with creativity and a sense of adventure, taking us on journeys through medieval times and far-off futures.

One of his standout moments came during Food Jeopardy in our Fitness, Food & Fun program. Eli showed off his trivia skills with confidence and accuracy, breezing through questions across several categories. It was clear he wasn’t just guessing—he really knew his stuff.

Eli also took the stage in this year’s Holiday Show with an unforgettable performance as the Grinch. He brought the character to life with just the right mix of mischief and charm, showing a different side of his personality and his range as a performer.

Outside of activities and performances, Eli is a natural when it comes to connecting with others. He’s quick to start meaningful conversations and knows how to keep things interesting with his curiosity and thoughtful questions.

He also knows how to bring the fun. Whether he’s sharing a laugh with peers or joking around with staff, Eli has a great sense of humor and a playful spirit that makes others feel at ease.

And we’d be remiss not to mention his awesome T-shirt collection! With favorites like Pokémon, Star Wars, and Super Mario, Eli’s style is just as bold and bright as his personality.

Eli adds so much to every program he’s in, and we’re looking forward to more great moments with him this summer.
