Why Your Annual Fund Gift Matters

Dear Friends of Youth Challenge,

Youth Challenge has made an incredible impact on my life as a teen volunteer. When I started volunteering during programs at Mayfield High School, where I graduated from in 2024, I had never worked with young people with disabilities before. YC expanded my palate and changed how I viewed the world. Programs teach empathy. YC truly benefits both participants and volunteers. 

That’s why I’m asking you to support the 2024 Annual Fund. Please consider a donation to provide sports, arts, and recreation for hundreds of participants with disabilities and their teen volunteer partners.  It’s the best kind of investment you can make.  

YC is a safe space for kids to have fun and not worry about being judged or stereotyped because of their disabilities. The focus is on working together. Alongside my participant partners, I’ve discovered handcycles and wheelchair basketball and created some amazing art. It’s easy to connect with participants on a peer-to-peer level; they are all so sweet and fun! 

I encourage you to donate to Youth Challenge’s 2024 Annual Fund. YC genuinely impacts and improves people’s lives, including mine. Thank you for your generous support!
