Holiday Show Highlight: Rudolph’s Radio Shack
The YC family gathered on Friday, December 13, for our annual holiday show. Since 2020, the Holiday Show has been a film premiere, but this year, the Holiday Theatre Troupe is back on stage with “Rudolph’s Radio Shack!”
Over the course of eight weeks, participants and volunteers worked together to write, direct, and rehearse scenes of this year’s production. This year, the kids go exploring in the North Pole and stumble upon an abandoned shack. Inside they find dusty, old equipment that Rudolph used for his popular radio show. As a surprise for the lucky listeners in the North Pole, the kids decided to bring the classic radio segments back to life!
During the holiday show, Youth Challenge recognized endowment funders, the top 10 teen volunteers, and the volunteer of the year. The volunteer of the year was Mark Dvoroznak. He was chosen for the award because of his development and board leadership. Mark is currently the Vice President of the Board and will be stepping into the role of Board President in 2025.
Not only did holiday show guests get the chance to see a WOO-nderful performance, they also were the first to hear from Chris about a special board match for year-end gifts! The board will be matching all online gifts to YC through December 31. Donate here by December 31 for your gift to be matched.
