Carolyn Palmer joined Team YC in December 2019 and now serves as the Director of Advancement. She formerly served YC as the Communications & Events Manager and Director of Community Engagement. Carolyn was first introduced to YC in 2015 when she joined the team to help plan the inaugural ADA Day, celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. From there, she joined the Young Professionals for Youth Challenge group, and the rest was history. Carolyn heads the Advancement Team, communicating YC’s incredible work to the community, raising critical funding, and engaging YC’s community through events.
Although she was born in Maryland, Carolyn has been a Clevelander since she was three, except for a four-year stay in Columbus for college. At Capital University, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and, since then, has devoted her career to nonprofit work, primarily in the disability services community. Carolyn lives in Fairview Park with her husband, son, and rambunctious cattle dog.
